The 4-H/Army Youth Development Project is a partnership of the U.S. Army, Community & Family Support (CFSC) and the USDA National Institute of Food & Agriculture (NIFA) share the goal of providing positive development programs to build the skills and competencies youth need to live productive, healthy and self-sufficient lives. These two federal agencies have created a partnership to accomplish their common goal and make efficient use of public resources. The USDA/AYDP helps Extension/4-H impact new audiences and helps the Army meet its mission of providing predictable, consistent youth programs on Army installations worldwide. This Project brings together USDA's expertise in youth development with the Army's goal of becoming the nation's model for youth programs. |
