Upcoming Sustainable Agriculture Events
There are several sustainable agriculture events occuring over the next several weeks.
1. The Hawaii Island Food Summit will be held October 5-6th, 2007 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort.
2. On Maui, the Maui Aloha Aina Association hosts the 7th Annual Body and Soil Health Conference on October 13-14th. The conference will be held at the Kumulani Certified Organic Vegetable Farm in Olinda, Maui.
3. The Draft Hawai'i 2050 Sustainability Plan is now available. The Hawai'i 2050 Sustainability Task Force is seeking comments on the report. Comments about the plan and the task force are being sought.
4. Slow Food Hawai'i Convivium has a new guide for Hawai'i Island Grown Food.
5. Honolulu Weekly is sponsoring Little Kitchens "Big Flavors from Honolulu's Little Kitchens" on October 13, 2007. Little Kitchens is a fund raiser for Slow Food Oahu. The event will be held on October 13, 2007 at the Hawaii State Art Museum, 250 South Hotel Street.
