Governor Lingle visits KCC Farmer's Market

 

As mentioned in an earlier posting to Sustainable Agriculture, the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation Kapiolani Community College Saturday Farmer's Market celebrated it's 5th year anniversary on November 8, 2008.  To commemorate this special day, Governor Linda Lingle presented a certificate to Hawaii Farm Bureau President Dean Okimoto of 'Nalo Farms.  After that Chef Ed Kenney of the Town Restaurant in Kaimuki, with the help of Sharon Peterson of the Hawaii Egg Producers Association, demonstrated the freshness and value of local eggs by making loco moco's with Fresh Island Eggs and local beef, thanks to North Shore Cattle Company.
