page. Use the navigation bar to move through our site, which is found
at the top of every page.
The information presented on
the NEW website is organized into five major
sections. A description of each section is listed below:
The Food Education
Topics section features links to numerous websites containing
information about the core concept areas of food education.
Our Projects and Programs are listed in this section, along with links to their respective websites.
The User Zones section is divided into topic areas of interest to students, educators,
consumers and families, and school food service managers, which contain
links to websites and interactive activities.
In our Resources section, you will find locally-developed, downloadable materials to view
or print for personal use—from the Foodskills Cookbook to video
clips.
These sections can be accessed
by using the simple navigation bar which appears at the top of every page.
File Formats
pdf files (Adobe Acrobat)
Some documents on the NEW website are in Portable
Document Format (PDF). These types of documents ensure that visitors will
be able to view publications in their original format, regardless of what
type of computer, browser, or operating system they use.
To be able to view, navigate,
and print PDF documents, visitors must first download the free Adobe Acrobat
Reader software from the Adobe website.

The Adobe website contains
detailed instructions for downloading and installing the Acrobat Reader.
If you encounter difficulties with the installation, a Troubleshooting
guide is available. For best results, make sure you have installed version
3.0 or later of the Acrobat Reader.
Our PDF documents have been
formatted to be printed on 8 1/2” x 11” paper.
Real video files
To view video files with the file extension .rm, visitors must first have
the RealPlayer software installed, which is available for free from the
RealPlayer website.

Viewers with higher speed internet
connections can download full-length videos, while those with slower speed
internet connections have the option of downloading files that have been
separated into shorter video clips.

our site with technologies like screen readers, we have a text-only mirror
site available. This text-only site contains no images, has been validated
