Center for Science in the Public Interest The Center for Science in the Public Interest provides tips to prevent food poisoning, a safe food quiz, and contains a foodborne illness-reporting center. Food Marketing Institute The Food Marketing Institute provides FMI members with the latest information, education, and guidance in all areas of food safety and regulatory compliance, along with crises management assistance. Grocery Manufacturers of America The Grocery Manufacturers of America provides information on the food industry's efforts to ensure the safety of the U.S. food supply. International Food Information Council The International Food Information Council provides food safety information on mycotoxins, microbiological risks to food safety, and how to keep from getting sick from foodborne illnesses. National Consumers League The National Consumers League provides government, businesses, and other organizations with the consumer's perspective on concerns including child labor, privacy, food safety, and medication information. Food Products Association The National Food Products Association site is designed to increase consumer awareness of the safety and nutritional value of processed food and helps consumers choose foods wisely, and teach you how to properly handle, prepare, and store foods. Food Safety Inspection Service The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service web site answers various frequently asked questions ranging from food borne diseases and pathogens to food labeling and biotechnology.
