The purpose of the Stars of Oceania Scholarship is to: 1.) Assist Pacific Islander students from American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Futuna, Kiribati, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Republic of Palau, Republic of Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis, who are admitted to a UH campus. 2.) To provide tuition assistance for UH students involved in course-related internships, research, or work that benefits Pacific Island countries. 3.) Provide travel grants for students involved in Pacific-related work that benefits Pacific Island countries.

Institute for Pacific Islands Forestry (IPIF)
Provides internships and career information for Pacific Island residents interested in forestry and natural resources.  Go to the IPIF Job Opportunities page for more information.

 

University of Hawaii Hawaiian Internship Program (UH-HIP)
UH-HIP offers undergraduates of Native Hawaiian ancestry the opportunity to participate in summer internships with government agencies and non-profit organizations involved in natural resource research, management, and education.

 

Pacific Internship Programs for Exploring Science - Research Experience for Undergraduates (PIPES-REU)

 

Micronesia and American Samoa Student Internship Program (MASSIP)
"Facilitate the entry of island college students with backgrounds in environmental management and sustainable development into relevant positions on their home islands in the U.S.-affiliated Pacific." This is based out of the University of Hawaii Sea Grant program.

 

Pacific Internship Programs for Exploring Science - Research Experience for Teachers (PIPES-RET)

 

The Pacific Islands Development Program (PIDP) 
PIDP is a program of the East West Center that conducts a broad range of activities to enhance the quality of life in the Pacific islands.

The Federal Commons
A new website recently launched by the Inter-Agency Electronic Grants Committee. It provides a "one-stop shop" for the entire federal grant application process. Currently, users can search the General Services Administration catalog of federal grant programs from the site. In the future, the site will allow applicants to submit and track their grant applications online. In addition, a searchable database of new grant announcements is scheduled.

National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators
NASFAA works closely with higher education institutions, government agencies, and other associations to share knowledge that will improve financial aid administration. NASFAA also advocates student aid and gathers timely, accurate regulatory and technical information for its members. 

 

US Department Of Education Student Financial Aid Guide

National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges (NASULGC) Leadership Development Program
The ESCOP/ACOP Leadership Development Program is designed for faculty in Agriculture, Life Sciences, and Natural Sciences. The Program's mission is to improve leadership skills for faculty in positions in academic, research and extension.

 

National Science Foundation Short Courses for College Teachers
An annual series of forums in which invited scholars meet for several days with undergraduate college teachers of science. The series is held at colleges and universities throughout the United States as well as at selected special sites. The primary aim is to enable undergraduate teachers in the sciences to keep their teaching current.

 

USDA Internship and Special Programs
The U.S. Department of Agriculture offers internships and special opportunities for students in undergraduate, graduate and doctorate programs with its various agencies.

 

World Bank Scholarships and Fellowships
