Brandie Cazimero

Major: Apparel Product Design & Merchandising
Academic/career interests: My academic interests include achieving good grades in all major classes and to ultimately earn a Bachelor's degree in APDM as well as a minor in Merchandising. My career goal is to one day have a successful fashion brand and line.

Co-curricular activities: Innovators of Fashion President; Phi Upsilon Omicron (member); National Association of Collegiate Scholars (member); Institute for Human Services (volunteer)

Major: Plant & Environmental Biotechnology

Academic interests/career goals: I am majoring in Biotechnology and pursuing a certificate in Agribusiness. Eventually, I would like to return to Hawaii as a member of the research community, conducting new research to face current issues, and find innovative solutions toward the betterment of Hawaii’s agriculture and economy.

Co-curricular activities: Hanging with friends and family, playing sports, going to the beach

Academic interests/career goals: After completing my undergraduate work in Bioengineering and a minor in Spanish language, I would like to go to graduate school in the Washington D.C. area, more specifically George Washington University. At GW I will be pursuing my masters in Biomedical Engineering, while interning for the government. After receiving my masters, possibly PhD as well, I will enter into a government related job.

Co-curricular activities: I have been in the UHM Warrior Marching Band since my freshman year and now I am co-section leader of my flute section. I am also the treasurer of Society of Women's Engineers and the treasurer/secretary of the Bioengineering Student Association. Furthermore, I volunteer at church, New Hope, every Sunday for Children's Ark. On every third Saturday of each month I help out with Waianae Outreach. I am on the hip-hop dance team for church as well.

Interests/career goals: My academic interests include fashion design, art (specifically design and drawing), Hawaiian and pacific studies, and creative writing. My career goal is to develop, design, and run my own business. I wish to develop a fashion line for women that is highly influenced by the cultures of Polynesia. As a result, I hope to open up the world of fashion in Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia, resulting in more jobs for the locals and hopefully development of education programs and the survival of these cultures.

Co-curricular activities: I attend a church called "Ekalesia" where I am a substitute Sunday School teacher for our teenage and young adult class. I am also the assistant youth dance instructor. Our church also works with other churches in Kahalu'u where we perform monthly volunteer services for the Kahalu'u community.

Academic/career interests: I am a biotechnology major. Right now I am concentrating on doing well in school and working with Dr. Ako. I am seriously considering going to medical school and practicing pediatrics.

Academic/career interests: I am highly interested in human development and also sociology. I plan to get my Bachelors in Family Resources and a masters in Counseling, education, or social work.

Co-curricular activities: I volunteer for the “Read Aloud Program” (RAP) at the school I work at. I also try to help out in the classrooms when I can.

Career/academic interests: With my Family Resources degree I’m focusing on Early Childhood Education in hopes to teach preschool following my baccalaureate studies. I’d also like to continue into grad school.

Co-curricular activities: On campus I’ve joined Friends of the Family this year and am also taking Tahitian dance classes for fun. Off-campus, I attend several activities throughout the year that my church holds and I like to surf, travel, camp, and hang out with friends and family.
