Hawaii County's Mission
The mission of CTAHR in Hawai'i County, through the activities of the Cooperative Extension Service and experiment stations is to generate, access, disseminate and encourage the application of research-generated knowledge and leadership techniques in tropical agriculture and human resources to individuals, families, and communities to improve the quality of life of those it serves.

Hawai'i County research stations support the research mission of the college by providing and maintaining a system of agricultural experiment stations to facilitate research in important agricultural areas in the state.
