Grant Development - Finding Funding

horizontal rule
  • First, have a clear idea of what you want to do.
  • Then, conduct an online search. Note: different search engines yield different results; use more than one search engine.
  • Looking for funding on a regular basis? Register for an “ALERT SERVICE.” UH pays for your subscription to IRIS and Community of Science (COS). There are free ones, as well (e.g. Grants.gov).
  • Read the ENTIRE RFP to make sure you qualify, the program fits well with what you will propose to do, you have enough time to generate a competitive proposal, and you understand the review criteria.
