Brief description: The Lalamilo Research Station consists of 1 cottage, 1 office/workshop, 1 garage with a storeroom, 1 greenhouse, and 1 greenhouse to be reconstructed. The cottage and 2/3 of the office/workshop building is temporarily being used by the charter school Kanu O Ka Aina. Country water (no agriculture water) Note: the County of Hawaii is developing a “nature walk” that will go through the state. The route is still being negotiated.
Current Activities: Irrigation trial vegetable crops and turfs; sheltered crops; variety trials on 12 vegetable crops; area wide fruit fly IPM
