  • Problem-solving systems in general, with disciplinary specialization in soil-plant nutrition. 
  • Decision-aids and expert systems in particular as tools to make disciplinary information available to others to use in soil and crop management 
  • Soil-plant nutrition relations, biological factors such as mycorrhizae and rhizobia in their role as of enhancing plant nutrition, survival, and growth
