Upon acceptance into the FamR program, students will be assigned an academic advisor. It is very important that students see their advisor regularly, at least once a semester, to plan their curriculum and to ensure they are making satisfactory progress towards graduation.

Students who enter the program as freshmen and who work out their schedules in close consultation with their faculty advisor should be able to complete the program in 4 years. Students who transfer into the program as juniors typically take 4 semesters to complete their requirements.
