Forestry and Agroforestry Nurseries for East Timor
These presentations show examples of good nursery practices used throughout the Pacific Islands, with suggestions as to how they might be used in East Timor. The presentations do not comprise a complete set of training documents in themselves. Other important topics covered in the workshops included species selection, examples of healthy and poor-quality seedlings, soil and potting materials, and seed extraction and cleaning, and calendars and planning planting dates and growing seasons. Trainers are urged to do hands-on demonstrations wherever possible.

| He gave it for his opinion, ... that whoever could make two ears of corn, or two blades of grass, to grow upon a spot of ground where only one grew before, would deserve better of mankind, and do more essential service to his country, than the whole race of politicians put together.
- Jonathan Swift
