Research Facilities

Biochemistry, nutrition, physiology, veterinary microbiology and pathology laboratories are available on campus. A small-animal facility is available for intensive animal research on campus.

The Department is equipped with a computer center for handling data. Our facility also maintains a statewide database of computerized production records for our producer clientele to support on-going extension and research programs.

The Hamilton and Sinclair libraries at the University of Hawaii maintain most textbooks, reference books and journals in production agriculture as well as an excellent collection of journals in the basic biological and biomedical sciences.

Aquaculture facilities, including ponds, tanks, and hatcheries may be available through cooperation with other agencies or institutes.
