Imagine reducing pollution by developing and using living systems that thrive on wastes, developing more nutritious crops through genetic engineering or building an aquacultural farm on which you culture marine biotechnology crops. These are a few of the many areas of research that are explored in the Department of Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering.

The department offers the following degree programs:
