I work on a variety of basic and applied questions in conservation biology, with an emphasis on the ecology of invasive ants. My current research focuses mainly on how invasive species affect natural and agricultural ecosystems, how these effects may interact with other factors like climate, and how management may help mitigate the negative impacts of invasive species. I have typically used arthropod communities for my model systems, although I’m also interested in insect-plant interactions.
