I grew up in Portland, Oregon.  I moved out to Hawai'i to do my undergraduate degree.  I am a senior, and I'll be graduating in the spring with a BA in Biology.

I am currently working on maintaining the lab colony of the wekiu bug, Nysius wekiuicola.  The scope of the work involves maintaining experiments to create a temperature-dependent growth curve, determine birth rates, and acquire longevity information.  These components are being used to create a robust life history of the wekiu bug suitable for conservation and land management decisions on Mauna Kea.
