| Instructions for Oral Presentations
Oral presentations are allotted 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions/discussion. Speakers should rehearse their presentation and stay within their allotted time. When preparing your presentations, remember that your judges and audience are from the broad range of disciplines within CTAHR. Microsoft PowerPoint (2003) or other computer-driven presentation programs is highly recommended, and LCD projectors and computers will be available. The use of personal computers may cause delays in the oral sessions and is strongly discouraged. Personal computers will be allowed only if the presenter must use a program other than Microsoft PowerPoint. Slide projectors will be available to accommodate only 2 inch x 2-inch (5 cm x 5 cm) slides. Overhead projectors will also be available. The Microsoft PowerPoint file of your presentation should be pre-loaded onto computers in the Agricultural Science Bldg. on April 3, 2009. Additional details on pre-loading files will be forthcoming Please do not go to the UHM Center for Instructional Support for help in making slides. Contact your faculty mentor or department chair for assistance. Reminder: if your abstract and abstract submission form is received after the submission deadline (March 6, 2009), you will be accommodated on a space available basis. Late abstracts (oral and poster) will not be included in the printed symposium program.
