Agent-Based Simulation Model of Longline Fisheries
– An Educational Version

This is a scaled-down and generalized version of the Fishery Management Model of Hawaii’s Longline Fisheries (FMMHLF) for educational purposes. This scaled-down and generalized version provides a demonstration on the general working of FMMHL which can only be accessed by NOAA personnel at the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center. FMMHLF is developed by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the University of Hawaii under the NSF grant “An exploratory application of agent-based modeling for policy evaluations in Hawaii’s longline fishery” (No. SES- 0918185).

For further information of FMMHLF, please refer to the following document “AGENT-BASED FISHERY MANAGEMENT MODEL OF HAWAII’S LONGLINE FISHERIES (FMMHLF): Model Description and Software Guide” by Yu, Railsback, Sheppard and Leung, JIMAR Contribution 13-383, University of Hawaii at Manoa.
