Terminal bud usually dead
1) Necrosis at tip and margin of leaves. Young leaves often
definitely hooked at ends. Death of roots preceeding all the above
symptoms.
Calcium def.
2) Breakdown at base of young leaves. Stems and petioles brittle.
Death of meristematic tissue. Tendency to increased branching.
