CHALLENGE
Create a new product or service, or repurpose an existing product or service using biological
materials from Hawai`i (i.e., locally grown food, fiber, agriculture, and other
bio-products).
SUBMIT
Up to 3-minute YouTube video that addresses the judging and selection criteria, and follows video submission guidelines.
AWARDS
- First Prize: $1,000
- Second Prize: $500
- Third Prize: $250
- Viewer's Choice: $100
Winners will be recognized at CTAHR’s 25th Annual Awards Banquet scheduled for May 3,
2013 at the Ala Moana Hotel.
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS
Each submission (by an individual or group) must be submitted by a CTAHR
graduate/ undergraduate student who actively participated in the development of
the project.

APPLICATIONS AND SUBMISSION DEADLINES
- Applications available from CTAHR instructors/ departments, or CTAHR’s
Academic and Student Affairs Office (Gilmore 210).
- Submission deadlines:
(a) Friday, February 15, 2013: Intent to Compete application;
(b) Friday, April 5, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.: Entry application and YouTube video.
