6TH Annual Weed Control & restoration Workshop Agenda - day 1 April 3rd 2019

On April 03, 2019, Dr. Joe DeFrank made a presentation to managers, workers and volunteers that deal with weed control issues in forests, ranges, conservations areas and similar non-crop areas. Topics covered in this presentation are listed below:
Awareness of Endangered Species act for weed control workers in natural areas.
Commonly used herbicides in forestry and conservation management.
Drizzle nozzle and topical no-spray herbicide application.
Herbicide usage chart for 100 gallon per acre sprayers.
Factors affecting potential for ground water contamination with herbicide spray applications.
Suggested method to view streaming media and slideshow:
1. Open (duplicate/clone) two browser windows of this page, one will be used to view the video and the other will be used to view the slide show images as an Adobe pdf.
2. Click on the link to "view lecture", let the program download or start then hit pause.
3. In the second window open the pdf version of the slide show and once the first slide appears return to lecture video and resume play.
3. With two windows open, you can follow the lecture video for the cues to change the slide image.
