Kauai Master Gardener Training: Weed Science-2016

On March 29, 2016, Dr. Joe DeFrank made a presentation to Kauai's 2016 Master Gardener class dealing with a wide range of weed control related topics for gardens, turf and landscapes. A summary of the topics discussed in provided below:
1.Web based resources for weed ID and control recommendations.
2. Homeowner spray calibration.
3.Weed control in turf, considerations for maximum turf health.
The remaining portion of this workshop was not recorded due to technical problems with the video recording. The content covered during the Kauai Weed Science workshop was similar to the content provided to the Maui Master Gardeners on 02/24/16. Suggested method to view streaming media and slideshow:
1. Open two browser windows of this page, one will be used to view the "talking head" as video and the other will be used to view the slide show images as an Adobe pdf.
2. Click on the link to "view lecture", let the program download and start then hit pause.
3. In the second window open the pdf version of the slide show and once the first slide appears return to lecture video and resume play.
3. With two windows open, you can follow the lecture video for the cues to change the slide image.
