On May 08, 2020, Dr. Joe DeFrank provided an online presentation to Oahu's 2020 Master Gardeners' class covering a wide range of weed control related topics for gardens, turf and landscapes. A summary of the topics discussed is provided below:
Web based resources for weed ID and pest control recommendations.
Nutsedge management options in gardens and commercial farm fields.
Solar hot water injector for drip irrigation, starting at slide 64 to 70.
No-till farming for organic growers.
Suggested method to view streaming media and slideshow:
1. Open (duplicate/clone) two browser windows of this page, one will be used to view the "talking head" as video and the other will be used to view the slide show images as an Adobe pdf.
2. Click on the link to "view lecture", let the program download and start then hit pause.
3. In the second window open the pdf version of the slide show and once the first slide appears return to lecture video and resume play.
3. With two windows open, you can follow the lecture video for the cues to change the slide image.
