Pacific Agricultural Semiar and Trade show-2013

  On January 17, 2013, Dr. DeFrank made a presentation to participants of the "2013-Pacific Agriculture Tradeshow and Seminar" at the Pearl Country Club. This presentation covered research results for selected weed control studies conducted in the summer of 2012.  Included are results in the use of herbicides and salt to encourage the spread of seashore paspalum (cv. Sea Dwarf) from the planted greens to the surrounding aprons at the Pali golf course on Oahu.  Herbicide studies on turf included Dallis grass and Green Kyllinga control in Bermuda sports turf.  Also covered are considerations for the use of herbicide wipers on problem grassy weeds in turf.

Suggested method to view streaming media and slideshow:

1.  Open two browser windows of this page, one will be used to view the "talking head" and the other will be used to view the slide show images as an Adobe pdf. 

2.  Click on the link to "view lecture", let the program download and start then hit pause.

3.  In the second window open the pdf version of the slide show and once the first slide appears return to lecture video and resume play.

3.  With two windows open, you can follow the lecture video for the queues to change the slide image.
