American Society of Plant Biologists Annual Conference
Saturday, June 24, 2017 - Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
Honolulu Convention Center,
Mark your calendars for June 24–28, when the American Society of Plant Biologists is coming to the Honolulu Convention Center to host their annual conference, drawing more than 1,500 plant biologists from around the world. David Christopher (MBBE), an active ASPB member for over 20 years, has been serving on ASPB committees and given talks and posters at the annual conferences, and he campaigned to bring the conference to Hawai‘i. This local event is the perfect opportunity for CTAHR students and faculty to attend, communicate their research to a wide audience and engage in important networking. There will be major symposia on cellular development; sustainable agriculture; the chemical dictionary of plants, plants and fungi; and plant scientist entrepreneurship. Sessions also include career-assistance workshops, bioinformatics, international collaborations, and advice on publishing and getting funding. The deadline to submit an abstract is May 24. For more information, please see the ASPB Conference Website.
