Experience indigo dyeing with Hawaiian Blue. Hawaiian Blue indigo is derived through a lengthy process from a locally grown plant called indigo suffruticosa. The workshop includes dyeing a silk handkerchief and a cotton scarf (to take home) using both a fresh leaf and a reduction vat.
Supplies included, 25 students max. Wear apron or old clothing. 8:30 am – 11:30 am, $30 at the door. Call 453-6050 to preregister.
