Description: The Lalamilo Research Station consists of 1 cottage, 1 office/workshop, 1 garage with a storeroom, 1 greenhouse, and 1 greenhouse. The cottage and 2/3 of the office/workshop building is temporarily being used by the charter school Kanu O Ka Aina.
Current activities: Research on tea, low-chill blueberries, protea, and various vegetable crops are conducted at the Lalamilo station. The USDA Tropcial Plant Genetic Resource Management Unit maintains papaya and wax apple germplasm at this site.
