Carin du Toit selected as New Country Coordinator

Mrs. Carin du Toit will assume the position of country coordinator for the project in East Timor starting September 22, 2004. Her diverse technical knowledge, skills and experiences in South Africa as a chemist in a pharmaceutical laboratory and as a program manager involved in training employees at credit unions in the United States are qualities that prepared her for this role. She holds an MBA degree and a BS in chemistry.Of course, it is important to note she is married to Dr. Andre du Toit, the project’s watershed agronomist. Together, they have managed to establish themselves as active residents in the second largest city in East Timor, Baucau. The family has been living in Baucau since February. Current plans call for split residences. Mrs. du Toit will reside in Dili with their two teenage children, Hendri and Simone while Dr. du Toit will remain in Baucau. Both children will be enrolled in the international school in Dili after being home-schooled for the past 6 months.
