Description

Yellowing leaves on citrus can be caused by any number of things. It may be due to a lack of nitrogen, drought, disease, or nematodes in the soil.

Information

Nematodes

Determination that the problem is caused by nematodes can be difficult because the symptoms can so easily be related to other problems such as lack of water or nutrient deficiency. Symptoms of nematodes include wilting, stunted growth, discoloration of leaves, and abnormal appearance of the plant. Root and soil samples will provide accurate diagnosis from the ADSC.

See “Plant Parasitic Nematodes and Their Management” for more information on nematodes.
