Applications for University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (UHM) scholarships and other forms of financial assistance (such as Pell Grants and work-study programs) are available at the Financial Aids Office. Application deadlines vary by scholarship, but are generally due in the spring.
The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) has scholarships available to qualified students majoring in any of its programs. CTAHR scholarship recipients are expected to donate several hours each semester in service-related activities.
The CTAHR New Student Scholarship is available to new freshmen and transfer students with a declared CTAHR major.
The CTAHR Centennial Scholarship is available to new freshmen and transfer students with a declared CTAHR major who are first-generation college students. First generation college students are defined as "first in their families attending college, whose parents have not earned a bachelor’s degree." (If a student’s sibling has already earned a bachelor’s degree, they are no longer considered a first-generation college student.)
The CTAHR Native Hawaiian New Student Scholarship is available to new freshmen and transfer students who are of Native Hawaiian ancestry with a declared CTAHR major.
These scholarships are in addition to financial aid available through the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
New and transfer students should complete and return the Scholarships for CTAHR New Students: Application Form. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 26, 2017 and mailed to: CTAHR Academic and Student Affairs Office, 3050 Maile Way, Gilmore 210, Honolulu, HI 96822.
CTAHR offers scholarships to continuing full-time classified students in the college who maintain a GPA of 3.0 and above. The application for scholarships is now available.
