The Agriculture Extension section is the oldest section of the ASCC Land Grant Program.  From the beginning there has been a major effort to teach improved home gardening with vegetables and traditional crops.  Assistance was also provided to livestock farmers and homeowners raising livestock.  This effort continues through demonstrations at the Land Grant Research Station in Mapusaga, and at village sites throughout the territory.  Extension also works closely with non-government agencies and organizations, such as schools, church groups, farmers' organizations and rehabilitation groups to teach and to further implement this agricultural effort.
