Ca = Calcium. Important functions: essential for development and maintenance of normal bones and teeth, important in blood coagulation, important for lactation, important in heart, nerve and muscle function, tissue permeability.

Mineral interaction: affect availabiliy of phosphorus and zinc, Calcium to Phosphorus ratio should range between 2:1 to 7:1.
