ADAP Coordinators

The ADAP Coordinator at each institution assists the Land Grant Director with the management and coordination of ADAP activities.  The ADAP Coordinator serves as the primary contact in his/her institution for the Project Manager and other members of the management team (other Coordinators, and home office staff), and for ADAP Principal Investigators (PIs) and Cooperators of that institution.  The Coordinator and Director establish protocols and make arrangements so that both stay well-informed on ADAP matters.  Coordinators communicate regularly with the ADAP home office staff, to handle administrative matters and coordinate activities.  The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a system for the Land Grant Director to authorize and the Land Grant Fiscal Officer to keep track of ADAP expenses at their institution.  The Coordinator is responsible for monthly fiscal reports of ADAP expenses from his/her institution.  This requires working with the Land Grant or other Fiscal Officer to submit accurate and up-to-date reports to the ADAP home office.  As needed, the Coordinator works with the Home Office Coordinator and Project Manager to provide additional information and solve problems related to these expenses and reports.  The Coordinator monitors and facilitates the activities of PIs and Cooperators as they implement ADAP programs.  This calls for a basic understanding of the program, and regular interaction with PIs/Cooperators.  The Coordinator helps PIs and Cooperators understand how to access and use resources available through ADAP (information, communication networks, fiscal resources, etc.), and their responsibility for accountability and reporting.  The Coordinator keeps PIs/Cooperators informed on ADAP matters in general.  The Coordinator interacts regularly with the Land Grant Director to report/monitor progress and problems related to implementation of ADAP programs.
