Hawaii

In addition to being of interest themselves, many of the following sites include listings of links to other web pages for businesses or services in the agtourism industry. The October 2004 publication"Hawaii Agtourism 2003" from the Hawaii Agricultural Statistics Service reports that the number of Hawaii farms with agtourism attractions increased by 50% from 2000 to 2003, and gross revenue from agtourism activities during the same time period rose from $26 million to $34 million. In addition, in 2000, 84 farms had intended to enter agtourism; by 2003, 145 farms reported that they would be starting agtourism enterprises. The Kona Coffee Country (http://www.kona-coffee-country.com/kona.htm) provides some useful information about the Kona coffee region
The Hawaii Coffee Association (http://hawaiicoffeeassoc.org) represents many members of the Hawaii Coffee industry, with a focus on marketing. Its primary objectives are to increase the consumption of Hawaii coffee within the State and export from the State. The site also provides coffee farming information.
The Hawaii Bed and Breakfasts (http://www.the-b-and-b-registry.com/usa/hawaii/) This easy-to-use site lists many Hawaii B&Bs with extensive information about each. Not all are agtourism B&Bs, but most are at least in rural locations.
Hawaii's Agricultural Gateway is primarily a Hawaii agriculture website, but it does list a few highly-commercial Agricultural Visitor Attractions (http://www.hawaiiag.org/12.htm) in the State, including some contact information but no website links. Not a very useful site.

Mainland

The Small Farm Center of the University of California at Davis has just published Agritourism and Nature Tourism in California, a workbook that arose during a brainstorming session among farmers, tourism officials, university advisors, specialists and other community support groups. Agritourism Fact Sheets from the Small Farm Center: The Small Farm Center web site now features an enhanced agtourism section containing practical fact sheets for farmers and ranchers considering agtourism and nature-tourism enterprises. Located online at http://www.sfc.ucdavis.edu/agritourism/factsheets.html, the updated pages include detailed information about the California Agricultural Homestay Bill (AB 1258) which paved the way for more farmers and ranchers to offer overnight visits. Agri-Tours Ltd (http://www.agri-tours.com/). A company that arranges agriculturally-oriented tours throughout the United States.

International

European Centre for Eco Agro Tourism (http://www.pz.nl/eceat/). This organization has listing for over 900 organic and low input farms in 19 European countries, where visitors can either camp ro stay in a farmhouse. Most of the participating farms also sell their guests meals or organiz produce on request. Information on purchasing country guides is listed on their website.
Farm Holiday Bureau (UK) Ltd (http://www.farm-holidays.co.uk/). A network of over 1,000 farms providing bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodations in the UK. The site is organized regionally, and lists summary information on the participating farms, including Web pages for some of the farms.
AgriTour (http://www.agritour.co.nz). This organization plans and organizes ag-related tours throughout New Zealand and offers the visitor information on the country's leading farms, research establishments, agribusiness, orchards and forests.
