Dr. Kabi Neupane

University of Hawaiʻi - Leeward Community College

Dr. Neupane holds a BS in Agriculture and a MS in Plant Breeding and Genetics from University of Agricultural Sciences - Bangalore, India and a Master in Business Administration and PhD in Plant Molecular Physiology from University of Hawaiʻi. Dr. Neupane is a professor in Biology and Biotechnology.

Dr. Ania Wieczorek

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa - CTAHR

Dr. Wieczorek holds a BS in Molecular Biology from Drexel University and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Western Cape - South Africa. As a professor, Dr. Wieczorek works to provide educational outreach in agricultural biotechnology.

Dr. Cindy Goldstein

Pionner Hawaii-Bred, Waialua Hawaii

Dr. Goldstein holds a BS In Horticulture from Oregon State University, an MS In Plant Breeding and Genetics, specializing in wheat and barley breeding; and a PhD In Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois. Dr. Goldstein has been the Industry Relations Manager for DuPont Pioneer in Hawai‘i.

Dr. Anna Ah Sam

Office of Student Equity Excellence Diversity

Dr. Ah Sam holds a BS in Child Development from Iowa State University, a Master’s in Public Health in Maternal and Child Health and Epidemiology from Tulane University, and a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Hawaiʻi.

Kāko’o ‘Ōiwi - Lo‘i Community Work Day

He'eia Wetland (Hoi) - Second Saturdays 8:30 am to noon. Put on your shoes or tabis and be prepared to get muddy! A water cooler will be provided, but bring your own water bottle or cup. A light lunch will be provided at the end of the day. Please RSVP at info@kakoooiwi.org

Science in Action

Science in Action gives high school students from grades 9 to12 access to UH Mānoa faculty and research facilities. Through hands-on activities and field trips, explore science fields such as botany, microbiological oceanography and marine biology. Visit outreach.hawaii.edu or email ochelp@hawaii.edu.
