Requirements To Enter Into A CTAHR Program From High School

Meet with your high school counselor or contact us to learn about CTAHR college requirements.

Sophomore year |
2. |
Make sure you take all of your high school courses needed to by the end of your senior year:
4 credits - English
3 credits – Math (Including Algebra II & Geometry)
3 credits - Science
4 credits - College-prep
5 credits - Electives
For a total of 22 courses |
Freshman to Senior year |

Take SAT or ACT exams

Junior year |

Apply to UHM and declare a CTAHR major by the deadline.
Submit all high school transcripts.
Submit SAT and ACT test scores.
Pay application Fee = $70 |
Fall: March 1st
Spring: October 1st |
* Must have fewer than 24 transferable college credits or still be in high school to be considered a freshman. |

Kāko’o ‘Ōiwi - Lo‘i Community Work Day
He'eia Wetland (Hoi) -
Second Saturdays 8:30 am to noon. Put on your shoes or tabis and be prepared to get muddy! A water cooler will be provided, but bring your own water bottle or cup. A light lunch will be provided at the end of the day. Please RSVP at info@kakoooiwi.org
Science in Action
Science in Action gives high school students from grades 9 to12 access to UH Mānoa faculty and research facilities. Through hands-on activities and field trips, explore science fields such as botany, microbiological oceanography and marine biology. Visit outreach.hawaii.edu or email ochelp@hawaii.edu.
Summer Scholar Program
