2006 National Water Conference Proceedings |
Twelve
water quality professionals from the land grant universities
in the Southwest States and Pacific Islands attended the
National Water Quality Conference held in San Antonio,
Texas from February
5-9, 2006.
More
than 108 oral and 166 poster presentations were viewed by
the 435 attendees at this year’s conference. Attendance
at this conference has grown by more than 20 percent each
year over the last five years. The increasing popularity
of this conference has made it one of the most important
conferences for scientists and educators interested in water
resources held on an annual basis in the USA.

Hawaii's
poster at the 2006 National Water Quality Conference
for Agricultural Best Management Practices |
Four
concurrent track sessions were used to organize paper and
poster presentations at the national conference. The four
topic areas
were: (1) agricultural best management practices (BMPs),
(2) rural environmental protection, (3) watershed assessment
and restoration, and (4) conservation and resource management.
