Background

Cyclamen are apart of the Primrose family.  These flowers are notable for the trait that some species will flower in every month of the year.  Cyclamen are winter and spring flowering plants which are available in a wide range of colors.

Care

Cyclamen do well under bright indirect light.  When watering the Cyclamen, water at the soil level.  Keep water away from the leaf stems and flower stems.  Fertilize the Cyclamen with a well balanced liquid fertilizer twice a month.

Miscellaneous

If you are a beginner grower, min Cyclamen are a good start for you.  They will bloom longer, some have fragrance, and these minis are much more heat tolerant.  Standard Cyclamen like cool temperatures during the day of about 60 degrees Fahrenheit to 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the night

Propagation

The propagation step of the Cyclamen are very difficult.  It is recommended that the grower just buy a new plant.  But if you would like to attempt to propagate your own Cyclamen here is a website to help you through the steps.
