Easter Lilies (Lilium longifloum)

Background
Easter lilies are a seasonal plant that are
stocked in stores around the spring time, approximately
March through May. These plants have large white
trumpet-shaped flowers that have are fragranced.
Care
The Potting soil should be kept moist at all
times. If the Easter lily pot is wrapped decorative
foils or plastics do not allow the plant to sit in water for
a long period on time. Remove the foil or plastic and
allow the Easter Lily pot to drain before placing the pot
back into the decorative material. Easter lilies do
well in low, medium, or high light levels. These
plants are tolerate to most light levels. Do not
fertilize while these plants are in bloom.
Miscellaneous
Easter lilies are very
difficult to re-bloom once these plants have already
bloomed. Easter lilies are usually discarded after the
bloom fades. Easter lilies should be kept out of the
reach of children and pets because of the risk of poisoning.
Propagation
The easiest way to propagate an Easter Lily
plant is through bulbs.
