Hanalei WatershedThe Water Quality Extension program at the University of Hawaii, CTAHR is a public education and outreach program emphasizing the protection of Hawaii's water resources, including water for drinking, domestic use, irrigation, industry, recreation and natural marine and freshwater ecosystems. We are part of a national water quality extension program within the Cooperative State Research Education and Extension Service of the USDA, and coordinate our activities with national and regional partners. Our goals are to respond to public information needs and address emerging research and extension water quality issues, including rainwater catchment.
