Our group is interested in both the blessings and challenges experienced by ‘Ohana Caregivers. We believe in celebrating the blessings and finding solutions to the challenges. Our goal is to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life of ‘Ohana Caregivers in Hawai‘i.
We conduct research about and provide education to all ‘Ohana Caregivers – those caring for older family members and those caring for grandchildren. This website describes some of our projects and provides information and resources for both types of ‘Ohana Caregivers.
We are affiliated with the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences and the Cooperative Extension Service of the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
